My Winter Break

This winter break was really relaxing. Since the beginning of the break, I enjoyed my free time going out with friends to watch a movie or just hang out. In Christmas, my family made a fancy lunch and we invited some neighbors over. We ate a lot of different things like spaghetti, roasted chicken, Spanish rice called PAELLA, salad, and many more. I really enjoyed this Christmas. Before we started making the lunch, we opened the presents. One of my sisters got a new VAIO laptop, while the other one got a cellphone, like me.
After Christmas, I spent most of my time doing homework. We have to do two different projects; one for English and one for Life Science. The English project was harder. We have to make a speech that lasted at least three minutes long while being presented. We could choose our speech topic, but the speech had to be persuasive. The topic I chose was "Should P.E. class be obligatory?". We are going to present the speeches tomorrow during class. I don't consider myself as such a good speech maker because I get really nervous and the words won't come out. I've been practicing a lot during my free time. Our other project, the Life Science one, was easier. We had to make a presentation about an animal we chose during out last day of school. The animals that we could choose had to be endangered of extinction. I chose the Bengal Tiger. I really enjoyed researching about the Bengal Tiger because I found out a lot of things that I didn't know about it before. I did all the homework in a two day period, from December 28th to December 29th. I had the only option to finish my homework those days because at the beginning of 2010 I had to leave Puerto Vallarta.
January the first came as fast as it could. Around eleven in the night, I left Puerto Vallarta and went to Morelia, Michoacan. I went there because my family was cordially invited to a wedding from a really close family. It wasn't a real wedding, it was just a 50 year "remarriage" because this couple has been married for 50 years! I think that is A LOT! The day we got to Morelia, January the 2th, I spent all the day working while my mom was out with a friend, one of my sisters was doing her nails, and my other sister was getting her hair done. I went with the bride's son to go get the baquet hall ready for the party. We blew up golden colored balloons. The party was great, but it was really cold. I really enjoyed this winter break.
